Contact Lenses You Can Buy in Town
In the Netherlands, it’s super convenient to pick up disposable contact lenses at local drugstores.
Most stores carry either daily (1-day) or monthly (1-month) lenses, and occasionally you’ll spot 3-month types too.
The power (strength) is listed with a minus sign (like -2.00), and while base curve (BC) isn’t always prominently shown, you can usually find it on the back of the box.
BC refers to the curvature of the lens. Most disposables range from 8.3 to 9.0.
A higher BC number means a flatter lens curve, while a lower number means a steeper one.
Lately, I’ve been spending more time at home, so monthly lenses often go unused.
That’s why I’ve switched to daily disposables—no cleaning, just pop them in and toss them at the end of the day. Perfect for lazy folks like me!
Where to Buy Japanese Brands Online in the Netherlands
Contacts are relatively affordable here—but eye drops? Not so much.
